They are handcrafted in different parts of Bali by very experienced silversmiths, mostly made in the village of Celuk in Ubud, reputable for making silver jewellery.

This pair of sterling silver earrings with mother of pearl is one of my favourites in this Balinese earrings collection. It has sterling silver "Native American" like feathers which make them look pretty exotic.

Mother of pearl is actually an iridescent substance that is not a gem stone but rather is formed in the lining of the shells fresh-water or salt-water mollusks.

Mother of pearl has a special symbolism in China, where it is valued as a stone that attracts fortune and happiness to anyone who owns it. It is considered a good luck amulet as well – From Crystal-cure.com

Hey ya!

What's up with me lately?

Since the time I was in 'oblivion' till now, I have been travelling around the world to Scandinavia, Russia, Bali and Bangkok. In between, "working hard" and longer hours than usual.  It sucks when "reality bites" at times. But that's life, I suppose.

Hope things are looking well for everybody!
